A city police officer called us about a kitten passed on from heat exhaustion on the sidewalk in August. None of us could get the kitten right away so we asked the staff to give him some water with some sugar and little bit of salt. When the officer asked why, we said that he needed a little sugar and electrolyte boost -- like Gatorade. When we finally arrived to see how he was doing, this little kitten was up and about, perky, and taking in all the action around him. He also had a red smear all over his mouth. What was it? They had given him Gatorade. Worked like a charm!
Still, we weren't sure he would make it, so we called him the No Name kitten. Because he has proved so healthy and active, he changed his name to Nonami. He ate and ate and really liked it when his tummy looked like a balloon.
This baby is a wonderful little boy who gets along well with other kitties.
