My Story

Nina is quirky and sweet. She was pulled from the shelter in 2021 where she was on the euthenasia list due to behavioral issues. She would randomly have outbursts and attack her own tail. We placed her with a foster who had heard her story, and wanted to see if she could be helped. Under the foster's careful watch and keen discernment, it was discovered that Nina was suffering from a nerve disorder that caused bursts of pain, like lightning, going down her back. With the correct treatment, Nina has turned into an absolute delightful animal that any cat lover would enjoy. She has been off of her medication now for multiple weeks, with no relapses, but she does need to be in a home where fleas and pests will be tightly controlled to avoid any irritations. She would love to be the queen of the castle as an only cat. However, she could also be integrated into a home with an existing animal, as long as she is introduced slowly and gently, and allowed to adjust on her own terms. This wonderful girl has become a "house favorite" as she begs for gentle pets, growls at mirrors, and turns countertops into her playzone.
