Special Needs- sweet Nikki
Sweet Nikki was found as a stray by a wonderful friend (who has since passed away). During her medical exam, it was discovered that Nikki has a significant cleft palate. However, she had already been spayed, and except for mild nasal discharge, was remarkably healthy!
Our friend, because of her own declining health, had opted for euthanasia for Nikki, but was so happy when I said I would take care of her and try to find her a special home.
Nikki is so very sweet, loving, calm, and petite. She tolerates my crazy dogs, and does well with my own cats and my many fosters.
Nikki is "special needs" because of her cleft palates. She gets frequent sinus infections, which require antibiotics fairly frequently. I currently keep Azithromycin on hand for her and fo a 3-5 day course as needed (per her DVMs instructions).
