My Story

Newman needs a special foster or forever home. He suffered nerve damage when an injury led to his tail being amputated. Before we relized the full extent of his injuries, he was adopted and returned twice for leaking urine. Since then he has needed help in the potty department. He can urinate some but does best when his bladder is expressed to empty it twice a day. He has some control over when he pees or poops. and usually uses the litter box but sometimes leaves poop outside the box. Newman is available to foster (vet care and supplies provided), or foster-to-adopt (so you can make sure it works out before committing to forever). His special food is provided as well. A large bathroom with a window might be ideal in case he has any accidents, and to make sure he eats his special food and nothing else if you have other pets. Someone with vet tech experience or who has had a cat needing its bladder expressed would be ideal, but the vet clinic can teach you if you have not expressed a bladder before and he can manage without his bladder expressed if need be. We will cover boarding him or find a temporary foster if you go out of town. If you might be up to the task, please email [email protected]. Newman is a sweet fella and worth the extra care he needs.
