Nefi

UPDATE: Nefi was adopted 10/23/06. Congratulations Sue and Buck!

Nefi has returned! He's got some jealousy issues, and needs to have a mom or dad that stays home all the time. We'd like to find him a retired or work-from-home person, preferrably single with either no children, or grown children.

Nefi was afraid of dogs when he first arrived, but has made leaps and bounds of progress since then. He still hisses and swats when the dogs try to get in to his food (wouldn't you hiss?), but is otherwise fine with dogs so long as they respect him. He gets along well with other cats and well behaved children, he would prefer to be the center of the universe in his new home.

After going through five homes and two shelters, Nefi needs a stable and permanent home. He was born in 2001, is neutered, and declawed, and would love to meet you!

Adoption fee for Nefi is $50 which covers his annual vaccinations.

Nefi was adopted 8/13/05 and returned 6/26/06!

Nefi was adopted last year, but the other kitty in the house kept beating him up, so he was returned! Please consider adopting Nefi, he's a sweet neutered and declawed boy. He's 5 years old now.

We're not sure of Nefi's breed, but by looking at photos of other cats online, he appears to be a "sable" colored burmese, or perhaps a "natural mink" colored Tonkinese. He was originally labeled as a Siamese/Ragdoll. You're guess is as good as ours. If you think he may be something else, please let us know! Someone has told us that Nefi is a seal point Siamese.

Nefi visited the vet 7/12/04 and is perfectly healthy! His FIV test came back negative, so he is officially available for adoption!

As of 7/23/04 Nefi weighs 11.3 pounds.

These photos don't do Nefi justice. He has brilliant striking blue eyes, and a gorgeous Burmese body. It's amazing just how deep chocolate colored his body is. He's actually many shades of chocolate brown, from a very light cream color on his chest to a deep, dark chocolate color on his face, ears, tail, and feet..

Nefi was pulled from a shelter in Wisconsin. His original owner gave him to someone else who couldn't keep him. He's neutered, declawed, and uses his litter box. He's only three years old and has a lot of life ahead of him. He loves to cuddle and to be petted. Some of his favorites include high places, sunny spots, and laps. Nefi is terrified of dogs of any size, so needs a home without them. He's current on his shots and will go to his new home complete with his collar, and all of his vet records!
