Necco Wafer

In the 3 second glimpse you can usually get of Necco Wafer, you can tell that along with being a graceful,fast, and handsome boy, he is also the most apprehensive guy around . In a litter of the scaredy-est boys in town- Necco stands out as the scaredy-est . It’s so hard to resist the urge to squeeze his precious little face, but the only time a head-pat or belly rub is somewhat feasible, is if he is trapped in a cat tree with nowhere to go, so not ideal-especially for people looking for an outgoing, affectionate, attention-seeking cat. But hey, just like people, not every cat wants that kinda of thing- I get it! Necco Wafer’s love language is definitely receiving gifts (in the form of Temptations). Little Necco still deserves the chance at a loving forever home, ideally one with one of siblings-especially Penny, or a home with another cat that can help him grow his confidence! Like his brothers, as he is so prone to such chaotic skittishness, Necco might do best in a home without younger children and likely without any dogs as well! Necco Wafer is neutered and up-to-date on shots, however, he has been undergoing treatment for a recent autoimmune disease diagnosis. With extensive testing, we have been able to rule out FIP, FeLV, FIV, and Lymphoma, but it looks like we are dealing with an autoimmune disease that can cause rough little flare ups for him resulting in fever, diarrhea, a potbellied and jaundiced appearance, and diminished appetite. Right now, however, Necco is responding extremely well to Prednisolone with most of his numbers bouncing right back into their normal range! We are hopeful for him, and his ability to live a completely normal and healthy life-with the sometimes necessary intervention of inflammation fighting steroids!
