The Chartreux is an old natural breed which originated in France, said to have been raised as a companion by the Carthusian monks. Cats similar in type to the modern Chartreux were described in France as early as the 1700s.
Known for its woolly blue coat, brilliant orange eyes, and smiling expression, it is a sturdy, sweet-tempered cat.
Natasha is four years old and had been declawed when she came to us. She has super soft fur, but it's her gentle, friendly personality that will win you over.
Chartreux are very quiet; in fact, some do not meow at all. They are attentive, adaptable, easy to handle cats who enjoy being near their favorite people. My guess is that you could easily be one of Natasha's favorite people, if only you gave her the chance to meet you.
