My Story

Hi! My name is Natasha. I am named after my amazing finder/feeder that posted on Facebook in search of a safe place for me and my 5 newborns. You see, I was owned once, but my previous owners abandoned me after they moved and left me in Bacliff. Bacliff (TX) is NOT a safe place for kitties and doggies! The FB post was a success, not only am I currently with my foster, but a rescue was found to get me vetted, vaccinated, and listed for a purrmenant home! I am a gorgeous medium/long haired black beauty with vibrant gold eyes. I really don’t engage in playtime with the other kitties in the household, but that may change when I get spayed and no longer nurse my littles. By looking at my super white teeth, I am estimated to be about 14 months of age. Yep, I’m a young mama with a long life ahead of me! My current foster feeds me wet and dry foods with lots of snacks in between. She even feeds me some of her table food as she says I need to gain weight and maintain myself to nurse. Plus, I stare at her lovingly and longingly in hopes of a morsel or ten. I’m still getting used to the fact that I have food available to me and can eat as much and as often as I want! I have manners and so far, I don’t walk on counters or get on top of tables. I’ve had zero litter box issues and am beginning to show some of my purrsonality. I’m learning that humans can be good and am becoming more relaxed each and every day. I had to run from dogs to keep from being attacked/killed when I was in Bacliff, so I’ve been told I have PTSD from it. This may change, but my current foster mama doesn’t have a dog. I think I would flourish with a family that is laid back, patient, and has older children or even with a retired couple. I have been with young kids and did do well, so as long as the rest of the environment is calm, this *could* be an option too.
