My Story

Nana, who turns two in September 2024, has worked hard to overcome her fearfulness. This once timid and scared little cat now actively seeks attention, and she is now ready for a loving forever home. Rescued from the outdoors about a year ago, Nana had a hard time adjusting to shelter life. Due to a lack of socialization, she was initially fearful of people and couldn't be touched for several months. Nana was safe, warm and well-fed but was not a happy cat. Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers, Nana has become more accepting of human presence. After almost ten months, Nana had a breakthrough and began seeking attention and pets from the volunteers. She has since blossomed and now eagerly awaits the arrival of volunteers and visitors, enjoying attention and playtime. Nana, who has only one eye, is healthy, confident, agile, and playful. Now it's time for Nana to move on to the next chapter of her life, where she will experience nothing but happiness and love. Nana will do best with a patient and loving adopter who will give her the time to settle into her new home and feel secure. She has made great progress at the shelter, and we know she will flourish in a quiet, calm home. Nana gets along well with other cats but isn't comfortable around dogs. If you can be the one to provide this resilient and determined little cat the loving home she deserves, we'd love to hear from you. To inquire, please give our cat adoption coordinator, Linda, a call at 819-868-2684 or email her at [email protected]
