My Story

*** Nala and Tank are at Cat & Craft *** Nala: solid gray, short hair, spayed female, born approx. 1/1/23, #18826 Tank: gray tabby w/white, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 1/1/17, #18827 *** Bonded Pair *** Cats: get along Dogs: unknown Children: respectful/calm kids Meet Nala and Tank! These delightful cats come from separate places with their own unique starts in life. A Good Samaritan discovered Nala near San Diego, and Tank was found wandering the streets of Los Angeles alone. Fate would bring them together under the care of a local rescuer. When their foster mom could no longer look after them, The Rescue House welcomed them into our clowder. We watched them heal, thrive, and grow into the best of friends. Holding each other's paws, Nala and Tank are ready for a bright future with their forever family! ---Nala is the sweetest girl in town! She may only have three legs, but that doesn't slow her down one bit. She jumps and plays without skipping a beat. Nala adores her toys and would be thrilled to have lots to play with in her next abode. Quite the mountaineer, she loves to climb to the top of the cat tree where she can peer out the window. There, she can chirp at all the silly birds flying by. According to this curious cutie, the most fascinating creature in the whole world is you! Nala simply loves her people! ---Tank is a gentle giant with a big heart! When he first arrived, he was in rough shape with a skin condition. A dose of TLC and vet magic brought him back to tip-top health. Tank is famous for his very laidback temperament. In fact, his favorite thing to do is sleep. You can often find him snoozing on top of a throne of soft pillows like a fluffy king! As your personal teddy bear, he also loves to nap next to you. Instead of snoring, he fills the room with his loud yet soothing purrs. ***Nala and Tank MUST be adopted together. Nala and Tank got along with the other cat in foster care and are very accepting of other felines. Since they were fortunate to have their own space, they did not interact with the resident dogs. Their thoughts on canines are unknown. Respectful, calm children would be a better fit for these sweet and tender souls. There is one more important bit of info that you need to know about Tank before you decide to take these two home: although he is healthy, he tested positive for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). This is nothing like the human version; it only is found among kitties and is very difficult to spread between cats. With good care, most FIV+ cats live long lives and make perfect pets! If you want to learn more, a good website is FIVCats.com, and you can find an informative article about FIV at Resources.Bestfriends.org/Article/FIV-Cats-FAQs-Feline-Immunodeficiency-Virus. Despite the challenges they faced, Nala and Tank continue to be affectionate and joyful cats who adore people! Will you be the one to give these wonderful kitties the loving forever home they deserve?
