Description
Nahnna is an absolutely beautiful silver and cream tabby, who is quiet and sweet.
Personality
Nahnna has been with GNAR for quite a long time. Nahnna's intake date was April 2022 when she was a teenager. She has sweetened up considerably in that time and now her demeanor has graduated to totally ADOPTABLE!
She isn't shy anymore, but also isn't the one following you around to butt her head in to everything. She is more polite and patient than the cats who act like that. Just like her sister Eydin, she also went from always making herself small in a corner, to suddenly coming out of her shell. Once she decided that humans are not only useful to her (opening can food), but also nice to get attention from, she stopped being so scarce.
Also just like her sister Edyin, Nahnna is ALL about food. She wants her own bowl and for you to put it down in front of her where she is, usually up on top of the table at eye level with you.
She always has her eyes on you. You will not find her sleeping, bc she only does that when you're not there, otherwise she is always at attention supervising you. She stares you down and faintly meows until her own can of food is ready. After her dinner, she has decided that being pet is pretty nice too and makes little contented noises when you first touch her.
Background
Nahnna came to us from a large colony of over 25 cats and kittens in SW Houston, who were trapped one by one over many months beginning at the end of 2021. A family in a home near where they congregated started to care for and feed them all. They worked to tame them and Trap/ Neuter/ Release to stem the flow of kittens. The HOA got mad and threatened to get rid of the cats and harrass the family who was caring for them. So the family reached out to GNAR to get help getting the whole colony of pretty kitties spayed, neutered, vaccinated faster and up for adoption.
