What a sweet, adorable little angel kitty this little Ruskie Blueski is. She was abandoned at an apartment complex and after being rescued crawled right into a volunteers lap and looked up into her eyes thanking her with purrs and head rubs.

Unfortunately, things are not all rosy for Nadia. She was dealt another setback as she tested positive for FIV. However, FIV is not a death sentence. Cats can live every bit as long as cats that do not have the disease.

In fact, I know many, many people who have FIV + kitties living harmoniously with their negative kitties with no cross contamination. I actually have a rescued FIV kitty and she and my other cats get along fabulously and there has been no problem at all.

Since FIV is passed on through a severe bite from an infected cat that goes into the bloodstream, a sweet, spayed cat is very unlikey to pass it on! The disease is not at all contagious to dogs, humans or other species anyway.
