My Story

Meet Nacho, a serene and laid-back 2-year-old grey and white shorthaired cat with a heart of gold. Nacho exudes tranquility in every purr and gentle gaze, bringing a sense of peace to those around him. Despite his calm demeanor, Nacho has a playful side that emerges when the mood strikes. He delights in engaging in interactive play sessions, batting around toys with grace and agility. Nacho's balanced personality makes him the perfect companion for any household, where he can provide comfort and companionship in moments of serenity and excitement alike. With his gentle nature and playful spirit, Nacho is sure to bring joy and contentment to the lucky family that welcomes him into their hearts and home. He has FIV, which means he has a weaker immune system than most cats. FIV cats can live a long, happy life, but should not go to a home with FIV-negative cats. If you are interested in meeting/adopting him, fill out an application at apl-shelter.org or come visit in-person at the Animal Protective League, 1001 Taintor Road in Springfield. The APL is open every day from noon to 5 p.m.
