Mr. Big was picked up on the outskirts of a small town. He is a gentle giant but does not prefer the company of dogs and dominant cats will boss him around. He is very shy, but once he gets to know you, he likes some attention. He is not much of a lap cat, but does like to be around to see what is going on.
Unfortunately, Mr. Big was battling Congestive Heart Failure for about a week. After having lost a lot of weight, running fevers, not eating or drinking, not able to take medication, and having his chest drained multiple times, we felt that he was starting to suffer and had him humanely euthanised on Feb 16, 2010.
The adoption fee is on a sliding scale; $50 to $75. You decide the amount that is right for you to give. We have an all volunteer staff so your entire fee goes towards saving AWF's rescue animals. If your donation covers medical costs, then the remainder of your donation will go towards helping save another homeless pet!
