My Story

This is a private adoption that SOS posts as a courtesy. All follow ups need to be directed to the indicated party listed below description. This is Moses. He is an old friend of mine. About a year ago, Moses came to my back door crying, during the midst of the terrible snow storms, and I fed him. He stayed around just a couple of days but eventually left to find better adventures. All year long, from that point, Moses would come and sit in the lawn periodically, watching everything I did. We talked; he meowed and followed me around. Then Moses left for a couple of months and I figured he belonged to someone. Moses came back about a month ago and has been greeting me every morning and everyday when I come home from work. He even jumps up on the rail of my deck to get as close to me as he possibly can. Now that he's been here for a month, and wants to come in and play, I knew it was time to get him checked out. He got a clean bill of health from the vet and is somewhere between 5 and 7 years old. He is blind in his right eye (as you look at him). He will be neutered on the 21st of November and will have his teeth cleaned. Right now he is living in my bathroom to avoid any mishaps with Sweetie, an unsprayed female foster of SOS's. I MUST TELL YOU, that I have fostered cats and dogs for many years now and have had some amazing experiences. However, this boy has been one of my favorite stories because I have never had a cat as thankful as him. He is so comfortable in the house and only wants to be with you. He'll rub on you, lounge in your lap, and talk with you. He is almost fully blind in one eye, and I think that he is so thankful to have warmth, food, love, and protection from the coyotes around this area. I fully believe he was once someone's house cat because he is wonderful at using the litterbox, enjoys your touch, and is very relaxed in the home setting. He is good with the dogs because for a month he would come up on the deck and lay with them while watching me. As far as with other cats, he has not had the chance to interact with them yet in my house. I would imagine he would do a little better with females because he has not been neutered all these years. He is looking for a place to retire. Most importantly, I am an avid foster for SOS and have tried hard not to fall in love with these guys and keep them. If I keep any more animals, the amount of animals I can foster will be limited. Can you open your heart and home to a retiree? He'll overflow your cup of joy....as you will his! Call me at 330-635-5787 with questions!!!!!
