Mortimer Harris
Adopted
Breed
Domestic Short Hair, Extra-Toes Cat / Hemingway Polydactyl
DOB 2-5-2009
Hello, my name is Mortimer. I am 9 months old and a beige, muted Tabby cat. My original family consisted of 36 cats and kittens who were confiscated by Animal Services from a condemned house. The lady who had us couldn’t take care of us so we were in pretty bad shape. The Shamrock Pet Foundation took all of us kittens and a Mama with three new babies. I was one of several who was lucky enough to survive and we had wonderful foster parents who nursed us back to health. But, there were some who just weren’t strong enough to make it through.
I am the only one left who has not been adopted. I do have a little problem. Some times my eye gets runny and I have to be given Lysine tablets. I like them because they taste really good.
If you notice in my pictures I have thumbs, I am a POLYDACTYL kitty. I am a good boy and really need a home I can call my own. I get along well with other cats and dogs. I am a talker and love to be hugged and petted. I come when you call my name. I will give you lots of love in return for your love and care.
I would like to introduce you to my buddy. Matthew is a beautiful gray, muted Tabby. He and his sister were rescued as tiny kittens from a wooded area by the river. The lady who took us had too many cats already and couldn’t care for all of them. His sister has been adopted and Matthew has been living with me since then. He was really scared and shy when he came here but I helped him. We have gotten really close and I call him my Brother, even though we are not siblings. In our hearts we are Brothers! Matthew will be a little shy at first but will be okay with a little time and patience.
Is there a kind soul out there who would love to be a Mom or Dad to us?!! We really want to be adopted together. Please call Shamrock Pet Foundation at 502-585-3220 or email them about any questions. My foster moms are Sharon & Ginny.
Many purrr-ful thanks.
Mortimer and Matthew
