Chloe was supposed to be a spayed young Ragdoll. Well....someone forget to tell her that! Chloe has gifted us with FOUR kittens (one of which is Ragdoll, the others of which would be Ragamuffin). Chloe and her babies will be ready to go sometime in early December, so if you are looking for a Christmas kitten, now is the time to get that pre-adoption deposit it. We will hold the kittens until Christmas if needed.
Chloe's adoption fee is $125 (since we have discovered that she is more like 7 years old than the 3 we were originally told he was).
Chloe's kittens, which will be spayed before leaving, will be $175 each. Get your application in early.
Who We Are:
We are a not-for-profit organization who is committed to helping Siamese and Long-Haired Breed cats (Ragdolls and Maine Coons primarily, though we do accept other long-haired breeds). All of our expenses are funded by personal and private donations. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, BUT A RESCUE. A rescue is a PRIVATE HOME and not a public place to visit. Adopters must make appointments prior to visiting foster homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption.
Adoption Process:
We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. If you email us, we will provide you with an application - either by email or by mail.
Adoption Fees:
Our adoption fees are as follows: adults are $150; kittens (spayed or neutered) are $175. We occasionally have reduced fees - these will be noted on the individual cat's listing. If someone adopts more then one cat from us, we will reduce the adoption fee of the second cat by $25. The adoption fees help defray SOME of the costs associated with rescuing/fostering these kitties. Please note: if someone places a deposit on a cat/kitten to "hold" them until they are ready to go home, and the person changes his or her mind, the deposit is non-refundable - it is only refundable if the cat/kitten become unadoptable for some reason.
Out of state adoption:
Merlin's Hope does NOT do out-of-state adoptions other than states contiguous to Texas (LA, Oklahoma, NM).
