Missy

Lola and Missy arrived together as an owner surrender on 5/17 due to their owners moving. Described by their owner as 'very friendly and shy,' fully housebroken and litter trained, with high energy and very active, they're also noted to be shy around strangers and scared around children, but friendly with other cats. Lola & Missy share an unbreakable bond and would thrive best in a home or rescue that can accommodate them together. Lola is the all-orange kitty, and her sister Missy is the calico. On 6/7, staff noted a heartwarming scene: When I entered the room to check on Missy & Lola, Lola was curled up in her own bed. However, upon seeing me, she swiftly scurried over to her sister's bed, seeking shelter and comfort from her sister. Speaking in a soft, gentle tone, I reached in to offer pets. Missy allowed me to handle and pet her and even to remove her from her bed allowing gentle pets, but soon retreated back to the safety of her sister Lola's side. It's evident that these two adorable sisters find immense comfort in each other's presence, and they clearly share a special bond and would thrive best if they could stay together. On 6/7 they were noted to be hiding in a small cat bed together for most, if not all, of the day. Their food bowls remain untouched, obvious weight loss since intake. URI signs are resolving but they continue to decline. On 5/30 Lola & Missy came down with an upper respiratory infection and were started on Doxycycline.
