Miss Sophie

I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them. I may enjoy casually batting at a toy mouse every now and then, but my favorite activity is snuggling on my favorite person's lap! My purr motor is always running! I love getting pets and - you guessed it - snuggles! I have been known to shower my favorite people in love! Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy! Miss Sophie interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for cat parents with either an average amount of cat experience and demonstrate a basic understanding of typical cat behavior. A volunteer writes: I hadn't really done so much to earn it, but Miss Sophie bashfully handed me her heart for safekeeping as she tucked herself into a perfect ball. We first met when I had gone to offer Miss Sophie some dinner. She perked up, as most cats will, but instead of jumping down for her meal, she curled into my hand. To be sure I understood we were now best friends, she wrapped her paws around my hand to pull me closer to her. Gently tucking her face into me and closing her eyes as though she were returning to her nap, she stretched her neck back and kneaded the air, very softly and happily purring. Miss Sophie is trying her best to make friends the best way she knows how, through offering her friendship, love, and kindness to everyone she meets.
