Meet Miss Mittens! She is a friendly gal with a bossy personality. All this after making her fosters think she was shy... as if! She has a short tail and is very petite- she'll likely remain a tiny cat. Mittens is a polydactl (extra toes!) and she definitely has some big mitts to go with her large personality. She is courageous and confident and was the first to explore her foster home and establish herself as the leader. She also gets along with other kitties and dogs. Mittens is a devoted sister to Bunny and their contrasting looks (Mittens is short-haired while Bunny's is long) and personalities perfectly complement each other; they will need to be adopted together as a gorgeous little pair of ladies. Considering what they've been through, it is likely that these girls will need a little time as they adjust to a new environment, but they definitely will. If you have the patience and calm home for a pair of young sisters that just need a second shot at a loving home and life, then these darling beauties are for you!
BACKSTORY: She was rescued along with her sister, Bunny, from a citizen who put out a desperate plea on Facebook; she was being forced to either take them to a shelter or let them loose outside. She found them as tiny kittens huddled together in her driveway one rainy night, so she pulled them inside. The thought of them trying to fend for themselves again was heartbreaking, so a loving foster stepped up to help them. Both have shortened tails, though it has not adverse health impact at all. The tails are just shorter in length.
NOTE: Mittens and Bunny were born on 7/20/23; WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN LA-BASED FOSTER HOME FOR THEM if you'd like to try it out.
