Miso

What my friends at ACC say about me: My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet! I have lived with cats. Miso is an adult cat that may not have had many interactions with humans from an early age. He is apprehensive of people and while showing no aggressive behaviors, he tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Please be mindful that older cats will require more time and skill in order for them to be comfortable around people, we recommend offering high value treats and food to help build a positive association to humans. My foster writes: Miso is a sweet and brave kitty. He came from a house with 80+ cats and has blossomed in foster, coming to like things such as: comfortable beds, churus, and playing with toys. He is learning to like pets and already loves to play with all kinds of toys either on his own or with a person. Once he became comfortable in his foster home, he became a wonderful sidekick, happiest when hanging out in the same room. Miso is also beautiful and unique-his whiskers are white on the left side of his face and black on the right, and he has medium-length fur with a sleek, fluffy tail that he wraps around his long legs. Miso is quiet, observant, and polite, and yet he has personality, too! My other foster writes: Given time and patience, Miso eventually opened up a bit here. After eventually leaving the bathroom, he walked around the apartment and was curious to explore. He loves to roll around on his belly, do big stretches on the floor, and play with wand toys (mouse one was his favorite!). He enjoyed taking naps on our windowsill or laying on a soft pile of blankets. when he was feeling up for it, i got to brush him and give him a few good neck scratches. He was perfect at using his litter box and gobbling up his food. despite his initial hissing and fear, I can tell that miso has lots of love to give. He's very submissive towards other cats (lays down, shows his tummy to them) and would make a great companion for a social feline friend. He is one special boy and I'm lucky I got to meet him!
