My Story

PLEASE NOTE: You must complete an ADOPTION APPLICATION in order to receive a response. https://www.homeatlastrescue.ca/adoption-form/, or click on the "MORE ABOUT HOME AT LAST RESCUE" button in the bottom right for a direct link. Mischief and Rebel are the perfect bonded pair. Affectionate and curious, Mischief and Rebel love to snuggle on their foster mom’s lap, often forgetting they aren’t small kittens anymore. They jostle for the best position on her lap or chest, showing no regard for personal space as they try to get as close as possible to each other and you. With their loud rumbling purrs, they gaze into your eyes and gently reach up to touch your face. Energetic and playful, these two haven’t met a toy they didn’t like. Springs are their favourite as they chase them around the room, and will wait for someone to get them out from under the couch. They also love wand toys and laser lights. A big, bright window is a must-have in their new home, where they can watch birds and squirrels. Mischief has the shiniest fur you’ll ever see and often sports a major “stink face” with her nose in the air. Rebel’s fur is the softest and silkiest, and she has a perpetual shocked look with her eyes as big as saucers. While they may be shy initially, Rebel & Mischief will show you how snuggly and cuddly they can be once they are comfortable with you. Mischief was diagnosed with FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) at four months of age. After immediate treatment, she was declared cured and FIP-free! Mischief and Rebel have only met the resident cats under the door but are curious and have never hissed. With proper introductions, they might be fine with other cats. They are inseparable and will cry if they don’t see each other, even for a few minutes. They MUST be adopted together. Mischief and Rebel started their lives as strays at animal services with their siblings and were quite scared when taken in. With patience and lots of love, they quickly came around in foster care, and their siblings were adopted quickly. Rebel stayed behind to keep Mischief company, and their bond grew even closer. Rebel and Mischief are best friends who love each other very much. Don’t worry – once they are comfortable with you, they will compete for space on your lap as they snuggle in as close as possible to each other and you! If you’re looking for a pair of loving, playful, and incredibly affectionate cats, Mischief and Rebel are the perfect pair for you.
