Minky and Dinky

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Located in New Jersey Minky and Dinky were surrendered to our rescue when their owner could no longer take care of them. They are pure bred Maine Coons from the same breeder. The have the same parents but were born at different times. ( Breeder papers are available) Minky - DOB 6-29-2015- weighed in at 20.4 lbs. He is a little more cautious and took a little longer to adjust. He is very welcoming of being brushed and petted. He accepts belly rubs and loves attention. His fur was in better shape than his brothers fur was. He is very sweet. He does shed a lot. Minky is on a raw diet, but has not been eating much of it since he arrived. We have been introducing other types of food and hope to find something he enjoys Dinky- DOB 4-27-2016- weighed in at 31.6 lbs. He accepted pets after a few days. He also enjoys being brushed. He seems to really enjoy it. His fur was in worse shape with a lot of mats. We have been brushing him out every day and he is very tolerable. His under belly and private area was a mess and he was shaved down there. He does have some dandruff and he has been getting a waterless shampoo bath every few days. His coat will need daily maintenance, so be prepared for the grooming. Dinky is a chill guy who is interested in looking out the window and accepting a lot of attention. He sheds a lot as well. Dinky was on an only dry food diet ( Blue Buffalo), and we have been trying new foods with him as well. These 2 brothers find comfort in each other so they must be adopted together. We are getting their vetting in order, so for now they are still in isolation. They can hear the cats on the other side of the door and seem interested in the activity, but they have not yet been introduced.
