Rescue Date: June 19, 2024 When I met Millie Moose at the city shelter, she sat there with her legs curled under here, in absolute defeat. She did not meow, she did not look at me, she did not get up. Her spirit was just... Crushed. She was quite sick as well, but her spirit - - that I felt right away. Just done. We learned she came from a really rough situation; filled with drugs, fights and chaos. ? We got Millie Moose to the vet and then pulled her for Rescue. She ended up having an upper respiratory infection and a urinary tract infection. She was also absolutely filthy and it was evident immediately that she hadn't lived in a good situation. Her paws were stained with urine, she stunk and she was just covered in a filthy film. She didn't bathe herself, she didn't do anything really... Nibbled on food and sat looking hopelessly out the kennel door.... Once we got her to the FURcility, we knew she'd perk up. There, she'd have nothing but luxury and pampering. Like a lot of Rescues, she rested - a lot. A lot, a lot. Like she hadn't slept in years. Slowly, she began to perk up more and be excited to see us. Then, she got released from her suite and that's when the Millie Moose we knew was inside - finally shown bright. Millie Moose followed us EVERYWHERE. You could stand and turn in circles and shed follow you ?? she earned the nickname Millie Moose Caboose. Millie Moose fell in love with life again, or maybe for the first time ever. She was clean now, had access to good food and water and also - - - - - - her favorite thing in the world - - - - TOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH, THIS GIRL LOVES to play! Millie Moose is now thriving and made the transformation from complete despair to complete joy. She is now ready for the last step in her journey, her FURever Family. FAMILY GOALS: Millie Moose is looking for a loving family with plenty of people and time to give. She loves to play with people and alone. She absolutely needs a family that can pet her often and let her snuggle, she loves affection. Millie just loves every ounce of attention she can get. She HATES when your hands are doing anything else and not touching her. ? She loves being around her people and will follow you everywhere. She is such a happy and content cat, honestly so perfect. Millie Moose is an all around easy cat. She's easy to care for, easy to keep and easy to love. She just needs that stable, amazing family to add her to their life.
