Midnight

"Momma" Midnight came to us when she was 7 months old and heavily pregnant. In the trailer court where she was living, neighborhood kids were picking on her. A kind woman had been feeding her for months and looking out for her, but when it became evident that she was very pregnant, she came to the shelter asking for help. The very next day she gave birth to 7 babies! It was all too much for her, and even with some human help only two of her babies survived. She is still learning life with people. Much of the time she is very sweet, vocal, and affectionate, but she can get nervous easily. Because of her tendency to swat when upset, we suggest a home with no kids, though we're pretty sure she will do ok with a low-key dog. Other cats are hit or miss as she learns to live in the shelter among all the other cats. She prefers to be away from them though. If you are interested in adopting, please come into the shelter then fill out an interest form. Our adoption fee for all of our cats and kittens is $75 or two for $100 unless we are having a monthly special. This includes that they are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV and Leukemia, if old enough they will get their rabies vaccine, FVRCP vaccine, microchipped, dewormed and will get a flea treatment.
