Her owner is in need of re-homing Mia and her daughter Bowie. These two are not compatible together and are not available as a pair. This is what Mia's owner says about her: "She doesn't seem to like other cats, she gets very grouchy easily and quickly escalated to fighting/chasing whenever Bowie tries to cuddle up to her to initiate play. She doesn't like dogs but will tolerate them as long as they keep their distance, there's no swatting, but she does get very vocal/hissy and runs off to hide. As far as I know she has not been around children before, and I don't think she would be happy around small kids, but would likely do okay with older kids that can respect her boundaries. Mia is a pretty low maintenance cat as far as Sphynx go. She loves people and is not shy about coming out to greet visitors. She doesn't like being picked up but does love attention and affection, she enjoys being pet and kissed. Mia knows her name and comes running when called, she also responds to Mimi and Meems. She'll come and sit with me at my desk for hours, purring away, staring at the monitor. One of her favorite games is to chase the mouse cursor across the screen. She's moderately vocal, she'll meow at the bedroom door at night to be let in so she can sleep in bed, and gently meow in excitement when her food is getting prepared. Otherwise, she's a pretty quiet girl. Mia likes nibbling on plants and thin charging cables so some kitty proofing needs to be done to keep her safe. She loves being up high, it's pretty common for us to come home and find her loafing on top of the fridge, cabinets or shelves. She loves hanging out around windows where she can supervise what goes on outside, she loves watching the birds and squirrels and warm sunbeams to nap in. She is a pretty smart girl and very fast! She's been a door darter. She might enjoy access to a catio to fulfill her curiosity of the outdoors. Mia loves kibble, but has a sensitive stomach. She does fine with Hills sensitive stomach & skin formula. She loves Primal frozen raw, likes Pork the best, currently eating a mix of Hills and Primal. She loves chicken and duck jerky treats; I usually have to either cut into small pieces or hold a larger piece for her to chew or she will try to swallow large pieces whole. She is very picky about canned food. She would likely do best in a quiet home with people that can appreciate her gentle nature. She is a very sweet girl! " Mia is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, eats wet and dry food, and is litterbox perfect. Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home. NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests! Purebreds Plus cat Rescue (purebredsplus.org), serving Northern California, the San Francisco Bay Area, Oregon, and Northern Nevada, is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of purebred cats, kittens and other exceptional felines. We are a 501 (c)3 non-profit rescue group. Most of our beautiful felines come from Northern California Animal Shelters. One of our goals is to keep purebred cats from ever ending up in a shelter. We are happy to help you if you need to rehome your purebred cat. Often, we can offer advice if your cat is having behavioral problems, and you may end up keeping the cat. We do NOT ship cats. We will place cats out of area but you must arrange to come and meet your new friend in person.
