Mia I think I received an unfair outcome last year. After living with them all my life, my owners surrendered me to the HSHC on December 10, 2023. They said, "Mia does not play well with others." But I would like to explain my side of things. I'm a fun-loving gal, and I thought it would be a hoot to stalk the other cat in our house and then jump out to surprise her! It was supposed to be fun! However, she was scared no matter how I tried to engage her in my shenanigans. She decided to avoid me at all times and ran and hid whenever she spotted me. What a big buzz-kill! I admit I can also get overly excited with affectionate attention and playtime with my owner. I kept forgetting that "love bites" are not appreciated. So here I am, 5 1/2 years old, and looking for a new residence. Because of my overstimulation quirk, I will do best with kids ten and older. I gave the interviewer lady a wide berth until February '24, when she opened my door; I let her pet me. Not for very long, but I welcomed her. Then, I began to eat my lunch and permitted her to give me a few more pets. Slow and steady wins the race with me! On May 28, I moved into a foster home to help me improve my social skills. That's where all the cute photos took place. We all agree that an owner who speaks fluent cat will understand my excitement limitations and how to deal with them.
