Merit is a beautiful tabby Maine Coon with piercing eyes and a silky coat. He was rescued from a neglectful owner but has made great progress since then. Originally fearful of being petted, Merit has started to greatly enjoy it when his caregiver pets him and is even known to purr and drool a little while being petted. He is extremely loving, but will still need to be confined to small spaces when he is pet until he becomes more trusting of people. He will need a quiet and loving home and is great with other cats.
