My Story

Meet our lovely, Meredith. Meredith was found in a carrier in our parking lot one morning, obviously left by her family. There was no note left with her so we have no idea why she was left with us but we assume her family simply could not care for her any longer and had to leave her with someone who could. As Meredith became comfortable with us we began to see more and more of her personality. She is a quiet but loving girl. We most often find her lounging around in the windows, on one of the cat trees, or on our desk. She can be a little apprehensive when people first approach her but she is quick to realize that pets are being offered and she's all about that. She is very sweet and loves to just hang out with the people around her. We did shave part of her back as it was matted since it can be a bit difficult for her to groom herself due to her rather **chonky** size. With regular brushing this is not a problem. Meredith's dream home is a quiet, low key one. Small children would not be ideal for her personality so one void of little ones is what she is looking for. She has gotten along well with other cats though she's not particularly interested in hanging out with any of them and doesn't appreciate them getting all up in her business. She is approximately 5 years old, spayed, UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, FeLV/FIV tested, dewormed, and on monthly flea preventative. We did have her checked out by our vet after she was discovered in our parking lot to ensure she had not been left because of health issues and she was found to be in excellent health! Her adoption fee is $75 and her application can be found here: www.jcccats.org/adoption-application. If you have questions please email us at [email protected]. Please DO NOT call as the volunteer who answers our phones does not handle our adoptions.
