You can save animals like Mercedes by becoming a foster! Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save cats before they are euthanized at the shelters, so that they have more time to find a permanent family. If you are interested in becoming a foster, please click here and email the questionnaire to [email protected].
UPDATE: ADOPTION PENDING as of August 3.
Fast…good looking…strong, powerful motors…meet the Sports Car kittens! Bentley, Porsche, Mercedes, and Chevelle are finally here and they are ready to go! These lovely kittens just arrived in foster care in Northern Virginia. They had been living in a rural high kill shelter where space and time were running out! These lovely kittens are Maine Coon mixes—they all have silky medium to long hair. They also have the ear tufts and paw tufts that are common to this breed. As of July 12, they are about 6 weeks old. Once they turn 8 weeks old on July 26, they will be available for adoption. Their mother, Cori (short for Corvette, of course), will also be available for adoption at this time. She is a stunning polydactyl calico!
Magnificent Mercedes can’t wait to find a new home! She is a stunning brown tabby female who looks like your stereotypical Maine Coon. She is very energetic and loves to chase her brothers and sisters all around! Mercedes is also blessed with an extra toe on her paws…making her a polydactyl cat. Polydactyl cats were a favorite of American author Ernest Hemingway.
