Hi, I’m Melon. No, I'm not a fruit! I'm an adorable ~10 month old black kitten girl with a sweet personality. I’ve got a slender shape and a triangular face with golden-green eyes, and a soft scratchy meow that will melt your heart. I’m really good at mixed signals, too. I will come towards you to snuggle, and then back up a little so I’m just out of reach. Then again. Then one more time…and I change my direction and give you my forehead full on for pets. Thank you, that’s just the right spot. I enjoy lounging and rolling around and being petted and showing off my sleek cat-self. I will act shy for a minute or two, but know it’s just a game. I like to play with cat dancer toys and I’ll track a rolling ball around when the mood hits me. I’m curious about things outside my window and like to watch the shadows and patterns from birds and leaves and who knows what else. I can be easily distracted, and then I can also easily fall asleep. I’ll climb right in my bed and close my eyes to the world for an hour or three. Just regular cat skills! I currently have a roommate named Gigi, and she and I can get up to some crazy antics. We have our own version of patty cake or maybe it’s rock-paper-scissors. I like to play with her and would enjoy living with another cat or kitten in my forever home. If I’m an only cat, you may find that I’m close to you more than not, looking for a little love before I tucker out in my cat bed. If anything, you’ll appreciate having me there and get a little “melon-choly” when I’m not nearby. Yep, you fell for it…just like you’ll fall for me! All cats & kittens are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, dewormed, fixed, and tested FeLV/FIV negative. Adoption fee is a minimum $85 per cat donation to Feral Fixers. Discounted adoption fee if two cats are adopted together, $150 for a pair. A brief screening questionnaire and contract apply! All of our cats/kittens are in foster homes throughout DuPage County. We consider adopters within a reasonable driving distance.
