Melo has improved since arriving and was sitting calmly on his haunches at the front facing out observing the world. He loved treats and allowed petting all over, on his head, cheek and along his back. At his lower back his tail rose very slightly in response to petting but he seemed focused on treats and not really interested in petting. He was calm when picked up and briefly held giving a single small meow and remained calm after being set back down and resumed eating.
Melo interacts with the observer, tolerates and/or appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. We recommend that he go to a home with some cat experience preferred and be well counseled in possibly getting the zoomies and becoming ramped up or overstimulated as a result.
