Mekish B

Mekish is a young kitten. His birthday is March 12, 2024. Born into foster care, his Mama is Silky Mae. She was rescued from the a store parking lot at a very late stage in her pregnancy. Silky delivered 8 kittens -- Sadly, one died within 24 hours of being born. Of the 7 survivors, six are male, one is female. Mekish is one of Silky's boys. He is a long-haired tuxedo type kitty. He is healthy, had his first vaccines and been wormed. He's weaned and eating solid foods. He's also mastered use of the litter box. He is a normal, very active, playful, curious kitten. He gets along well with his siblings which is the most of his exposure so far. As with all YOUNG kittens, Mekish will not be permitted to be adopted by a family with children under 6 years old. When he reaches 12 weeks of age, he will be tested for FIV/FeLeuk and will receive additional vaccines. While awaiting that special day, he is eager to entertain applications now! NOTE: Kittens cannot be accurately tested for FIV/FeLeuk until at least 10-12 weeks of age. S-PCHS does not allow untested kittens to go to their forever homes until they show a negative test. Applications may be submitted for review, but kitten adoptions will only be finalized when after age appropriate testing is complete.
