MEE MAW

At some point, MEE MAW had a home. She had been spayed; she had been chipped. But sadly, she was brought in as a stray. The shelter has tried numerous times to reach the former guardian, using the information on her micro-chip. But all attempts to contact them have failed. Why on earth someone would go to the effort and expense to give vet care to a cat, only to abandon it, will remain a mystery. Did someone who loved her die? Was she tossed out of her home, to fend for herself at age 14? Did she become FIV positive because of attacks she suffered on the street? If only she could tell us. Although she has had a rough time of it, MEE MAW is a sweet, sweet girl! She loves to be held, loves pets and cheek scratches. She loves to sit on laps. And she will be happy to chat with you! We do not know how she feels about dogs. She is doing fine with her room mates. Given her sweet nature, MEE MAW should do fine with older children who understand that she is an older kitty and may be limited in the amount of play she can do. She is a tiny thing, so needs gentle pets and lots of lap time. MEE MAW is FIV+ but can still enjoy happy life. She just needs a quiet home with someone who will keep her safe and love her.
