Maya is special beyond words! She is kind, loving, smart and resilient. Maya was rescued with her six babies in May 2006. She had been carefully hiding her babies and ensuring they were cared for and protected against the people who shot her in the leg.
Maya has responded to her name from the moment it was given to her. She is incredibly soulful and has raised her babies to be gentle and loving cats. She has never hissed, bit, or been aggressive despite the trauma she endured prior to coming to us.
Maya is spayed, current on vaccines and tested NEG for FeLV and FIV. Maya is approximately 2 years old. Maya loves dogs and does very well with all people. She will do best in a home with no other cats- she views them as threats probably stemming from her days having to fight them off while on her own. Maya needs to go into a home where she will be kept indoor only and will not be de-clawed.
