My Story

Meet Max, the charming chunky boy with a love for good meals and laid-back living. A bit shy, Max prefers the company of his sister Onyx over humans but does enjoy the occasional brush session. He's a professional nap-taker, finding joy in peaceful moments. Max does have diabetes that is currently managed with daily insulin, and his adopter will be taught how to administer his insulin injections prior to adoption. Max's heart belongs to Onyx, and they're a bonded pair, inseparable and seeking a forever home together. Max has shown compatibility with calm dogs. Both Max and Onyx are part of our Seniors for Seniors program, for adopters over the age of 65 their adoption fee will be waived. Additionally, if adopted in the Capital Region, free in home grooming services through S&R Pet Care is available. If you're ready to welcome this delightful duo into your home, apply to adopt Max and Onyx today! Per Max and Onyx's foster 2/25/24: "Onyx loves to cuddle and enjoys being brushed. She is not shy about reminding us that it is dinner time! Her purr is very relaxing and likes to settle on any available lap. Max will less vocal but does enjoy dinner time and being brushed while looking deeply into your eyes. They both have been enjoying their visits from our two dogs. These two are absolutely wonderful TV watching buddies as they settle in and enjoy being within petting range." Apply to adopt this bonded pair at TTRRescue.com!
