My Story

Poor, sweet Max is now our longest resident cat. He has experienced so much loss in the past months. His owner died and he lost his home, prior to coming to MLAR. He was initially very shutdown and would not eat. With proper care and socialization from our clinic, staff and volunteers, he slowly started to come out of his shell and respond to affection. He has also been eating a bit, especially when being pet. Recently Max has been starting to venture out of his cage when the room is quiet. Max has soulful eyes which show how sad he is, but also show that he has some hope. He would do best in a quiet home who will give him the time and space he needs to adjust. He knows that his new family is out there somewhere, and he is just waiting for them to come find him. Come meet this sweet soul and you may realize that he is the one for you. Please stop by 12-5pm daily for walk-in visits (no appointment necessary). You can complete an application online at www.mlar.org/adopt-application
