Mateo Solano Villanueva

Mateo, lovingly Mateto or Potato, has truly been a labor of love. Coming to us last year, Mateo arrived via one of our TNR partners with a serious injury to his head, in which his forehead was shorn off by what we imagine was a fan blade in a car engine. He had a nasty wound that took a lot of TLC and care to nurse closed. During his time healing in a crate, his exercise regiment was interrupted and he blew up, for lack of a better term. After a full year, LOTS of work, some fish skin grafts and a bit of faith, trust and pixie dust, Mateo finally healed. Since getting a clean bill of health, Mateo has been able to focus on exercising and has been keeping a keen eye on his figure, already having lost a few pounds. Mateo is sweet and affectionate, gets along great with other cats, is adventurous, surprisingly agile, and will make a fabulous companion for someone now that he is ready to go home. Mateo can NOT go to a home with dogs as he has a strong dislike for them. But he does love small children and anyone who will give him lots of love. He will throw his whole body into you to ask for affection and attention. Mateo is at Princeton's Meow and can be seen during open hours.
