Marshmellow

Update July 9th - Marshmellow is now at the Pet Valu, 1 Wilson St corner of James St N in downtown Hamilton. Go pay this sweetie a visit. May 23rd, 2024 - Marshmellow is now ready to find her new home. Please read her bio, requirements for adoption and if you think she would be a good fit then go to avacats.org and fill out an online application form. An adoption co ordinator will be in touch Marshmellow came in to our rescue the beginning of the month. We had been asked by one of our volunteers if we could help her. Her owner who loved her dearly had fallen on hard times and had to move where he couldn't take his cat but he wanted us to find her a new home. She went to our vet for an updated exam, flea treatment, deworming and update of her FVCRP and rabies vaccines. She had been previously microchipped and spayed , She is just over 4 years old but loves to play with her catnip toys, springs and balls. She took a few days to adjust in her foster home - stressed from losing her home, but she was out exploring and now that she knows her foster mom she is sleeping on her lap, sharing couch time and is enjoying being petted - although she will let you know when she has had enough. She has always had a quiet home life environment so she would probably not be a fan of young children. She would need to be given a few days to settle in to her new environment. She is not a fan of other cats and not sure about dogs. Her adoption fee is $250. AVA has an indoor and no declaw policy.
