Marie

Marie has a sad story but is ready for her happily-ever-after! Marie and her sister Abigail were dumped at our shelter in a laundry basket and they were confused and absolutely terrified. It took Marie several months to finally open up and learn to trust humans. She has been with her foster parents for a few months and has made such incredible strides during that time! Once Marie learns to trust you, she will rub your legs and arch her back for pets. She's a vibrant girl that loves to play, especially with wand toys. Marie loves her wet food, Churus, and Temptations treats. She's more of a "near you" than "on you" cat and likes having her own space to retreat to when she's overwhelmed. Marie currently lives in a foster home with her sister, Abigail. She would do well as a single cat in her forever home, but she would also likely tolerate living with another chill, friendly cat, as long as she is given a proper intro. She would do best in a dog-free home, or with a dog that respects her space. Marie is a shy girl and can take a while to warm up to new people. She will require a patient adopter who can give her the time and space she needs to open up and thrive around humans. We just know her forever family is out there!
