Meet Mariah! Mariah got her name because from the moment she came to us, she wanted to serenade us with the song of her people. Mariah is a super-friendly, super-vocal girl. She is always ready to make a new friend, especially if they'll give her some head- or butt-scritches. She might even tolerate a tummy rub or two, if they're of high quality. She is a sweetheart who just loves love. Mariah is a very people-oriented girl, and a total homebody (it's not a coincidence almost all of her pictures are of her lounging around!). When she was in a home, there was nothing she loved more than laying on the couch or in bed with her human. She also enjoyed sitting in her cat tree watching the birds outside, and chasing after her many toys. Mariah is a total chatterbox. In her home, she was always peeping with her person just to make sure they knew where she was. At the center, she will chirp away unless we open the top level of her kennel, so she can feel included while the other kitties run around. Mariah is generally a pretty laid-back, relaxed girl. She makes for an excellent Netflix or reading buddy, and she'll always keep you up-to-date with the latest gossip. Mariah is not fond of other cats, so much so that she doesn't leave her kennel at the center unless everyone else is up. We think she would be fine with kids. She has not been tested with dogs. Mariah is estimated to be 3 years old as of June 2024. She has been spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. With an approved application, her adoption fee is $37.10.
