When Marco was surrendered to the shelter the door to his carrier popped off in our lobby. Afraid, Marco ran and hid. Staff searched the building for him before finding him in our basement two hours later. From then on he became known as Marco after the game Marco Polo. A generous volunteer was there the day Marco was surrendered and felt bad about the incident, so she decided to sponsor his adoption fee. Lucky Marco!
Marco is a nice, social cat. He likes meeting new people and hanging out on the blue platforms in our cat room. He gets along with adult cats, but kittens can stress him out. He has a playful side that reminds us of Toothless from the movie How to Train Your Dragon. Marco would make a really great pet for someone and we hope he can find his new family soon.
