Maple

Maple is so sweet! She is a relaxed and mellow cat who loves spending time with people so much that she starts purring loudly as soon as she sees them. She is quiet and loves to lounge and be pet. Likes: Resting, Cat beds, hanging out in cat caves/carrier, being brushed, using the cardboard scratcher, using people's arms and hands as pillows, rubbing on legs. She likes to be pet (especially chin scratches and ear rubs). She hasn't sat in anyone's lap, but seems curious and will lean on you. She is okay with being picked up. She is still learning to play after being rescued from outside; she'll bat around ping-pong balls or paw at a "crinkle mat" when she is alone. Dislikes: She was not the biggest fan of having her nails trimmed, but is comfortable having her paws touched and will hopefully keep getting more used to it. She sometimes (but not always) gets scared of "full body" pets that include her hips and tail. More Info: She is usually not bothered by loud or strange noises. When she does get frightened, her signature move is quickly backing up a few steps, it is very cute. She has been calm when she's seen our cats from afar and has been calm and curious when they have meowed at her through the door. She previously lived outdoors with other cats. She hasn't met dogs or children here, so can't say how she will do. Maple is FIV+, spayed, vaccinated, ear tipped, dewormed, flea treated, microchipped.
