Some of the members of the Colony Cats have sad eyes, and Mandy is one of those cats. She is a beautiful cat with a gentle soul who stays in her cubby most of the time yet allows volunteers to quietly pet her. While some of the Colony Cats are extroverts who come out and greet visitors and play with their roommates, Mandy is more of an introvert who stays to herself. She gets along well with the other cats and sometimes shares her cubby with them, but she does not join in playtime. Its quite possible that she will come out of her shell in a less crowded environment where she gets more individualized attention and does not have to deal with the sometimes loud activity in the Colony room. Mandy is still "semi-feral" so a quiet, yet attentive household without young children, and with cat savvy adults who have experience with shy cats will be her best home environment and maybe brighten up those sad eyes. The ideal adoption would involve another of the Colony cats to accompany Mandy in her new home.
