Mama Rose

Hi! My name is Mama Rose. Look at my smile! I sure wasn't smiling a few months ago though. My 6 kittens and I were roaming in backyards, looking for food, when a really nice woman started to feed us. I was really glad she did, because my kittens were 6-7 weeks old and my milk was starting to dry up. She fed us everyday and found all of us an opening at Stray Cat Sanctuary. Now a little about ME- I'm a younger adult who was most likely an outdoor kitty for all my life. I must have had a little human interaction though because I CAN be affectionate. When I first arrived to the shelter, I needed to decompress. A lot of changes happened quickly for me, and I needed space and a little bit of time to realize I was now in a safe environment. I didn't need to be in fight or flight - keeping watch for predators, making sure my kittens are safe- anymore. So, as you can imagine, I wasn't the friendliest kitty at first. Since then, I've stopped hiding, am WAY nicer to the other shelter kitties, and LOVE when my shelter mom pets me. I can still be shy around people I don't know, BUT if you give me a little time, I'll make sure to show you my affectionate side! I'm most likely around 1.5- 2 years old. I'm spayed, vaccinated, have tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and am microchipped. I would love a quieter home. Somewhere I can have my own little space, whether that's a window sill, tall cat tree or even a spare room to relax in. I feel more comfortable when I'm higher up (cat tree, etc). I need to find that amazing, patient person who will give me a chance and love me for exactly the way I am. Will you love me for the rest of my life?
