My Story

Please contact Kristin ([email protected]) for more information about this pet. This sweet gal is Pearl! She was found outdoors in the winter when she was very pregnant. She was brought indoors to safely have her babies and quickly warmed up to her human companions. She was an excellent mother and each of her babies has found a wonderful home. It is now Pearl's turn to be taken care of and spoiled. This adorable little girl is around 3 years old but only around 7lbs. She's tiny! She has the cutest white fur ring around her back leg (her pearl anklet). She loves pets and will rub against your legs and arms while chatting with you to let you know how much she loves you. She still is not a fan of being picked up or restrained but with treats and patience she will get there. She spent her first years of life outdoors so she can still be a bit skittish and nervous. She is nervous of new people but warms up quickly with a little patience. Quieter homes will be more successful for her. She does love all other cats and has shown promise with socializing with her canine companions. Come meet this loving mama in Thornton! Foster: HJ Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes. These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes. These 'guardian cats' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for kittens (6 months & under) $125 for cats (older than 6 months) $75 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email [email protected] for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE: The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter. Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets. Here is some interesting info on breed identification: https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online. We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting. Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
