Mama Celie

Good evening!! We are MAMA CELIE & MAMA NETTIE & THE COLOR PURPLE BABIES! I'll bet you thought we'd never announce ourselves! We are the two sisters that gave birth less than a week apart, and co-nursed our kittens together! We came from an unthinkable property in Smith County, TN, and we were in terrible shape when we arrived, just as skinny as could be. You also might notice an odd duck standing out in our picture lineup...not only because she doesn't have a name in our theme, but also because she's just a little different looking than us! We are talking about sweet Joy, who lit up our life as an orphan at only about 5 days old. My sister, Nettie, and I, fought over her constantly, but then we decided we would just share her in shifts. I mean, we were already forgetting who our real babies were at this point anyway! The unthinkable happened right as all of the babies were getting ready for adoption....THE RINGWORM! That's what we called it...it has to have "the" in front of it, because that makes it sound more scary. It moved across the kittens at a fast rate and we had to postpone our announcement for a few weeks because of it. Now, here we are, with maybe a few bare spots that are growing back fur, but we are here nonetheless! Another thing...some of our babies from BOTH of our litters are missing tails! 4 of them either have nubs or no tails at all, and those kittens are Harpo, Corrine, Squeak and Tashi. They are the cutest, and something that obviously runs in our family! We're just happy to have been saved, and we have so much love to give!
