My name is Mama and I am a brown tabby & white domestic shorthair. I am an intact female (I will be spayed before I am adopted) and I am 6 years old. I am here because I was given up by my owner on 06/29/2024 due to the fact my owner was homeless and could not take care of me anymore. They were my family for 4.5 years. I am used to staying inside during the day and inside during the night. I am a medium energy cat and I will need an owner with some prior pet owning experience. I can be good with men and women, but children make me nervous. I cannot live with other cats and I cannot live with dogs - I like to be the queen of my own space. My owner said I am very affectionate with my preferred person, but I can be nervous with strangers. All cats are tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, and cats over 6 months of age are tested for heartworms. They are also tested for intestinal parasites and receive routine dewormings. Cats are vaccinated against distemper and rabies, receive a flea preventative, are spayed/neutered before adoption, and have a microchip. Adoption fees include the initial automated registration of the microchip at the time of adoption.
