MALIBU

Malibu is a very special kitty that we saved from euthanasia at the age of 3 months old and he has defied all odds and keeps on defying them. Malibu is what is called a tail pull kitty. Most tail pull kitties are paralyzed in their back legs but NOT Malibu! Malibu runs and has the use of all his legs. His tail had the nerve endings separted at the tail base at some point in time before his arrival to the shelter. He was found wandering the streets!! Malibu has had a few different therapies and is now having the loop mat therapy at home (we own the mat) Where Malibu requires help is going to the bathroom. He has to be manually expressed. He is improving at going to his kitty litter box and going to the bathroom though and Malibu's prognosis is good!! He can receive laser therapy when he turns one year old and this has helped with so many tail pull kittoes with wonderful results at not needing assistance to go to the bathroom. Recently Malibu's foster mom went on a 2 week vacation and we had a fill in foster that had never ever before manually expressed a cat. They had zero issues expressing him, so you do not need to be a pro to be successful at this. Malibu's foster mom didn't know how to do this either when she took him into her hhome and was shown by our vets. If you are looking for a sweet, cuddly boy that will love watching tv with you and is an absolute love, Malibu is your boy! At this time we would like him to go to a home without other animals or small children-Malibu is still a young boy and loves to play -we have come so far with the treatments that have been done on him repairing the tail base nerves that we don't want to set him back. He honestly is the sweetest boy ever!
