Adoptable Mack Truck is officially accepting applications for a furever cuddle buddy! This sweet man was found roaming the streets of Petworth in Washington, DC, heartbreakingly skinny and suffering from an open neck wound. Local community cat trappers scooped him up and while Mack healed from his injury indoors, he started to thrive. We knew right then what was necessary — we had to give this special man the opportunity to have a very comfy, very loved inside life forever. Over the past few weeks, Mack has adjusted wonderfully to his new lifestyle. He has discovered his love for lounging on a heating pad and burrowing under the covers. He is an exceptional conversationalist with his sweet meow, and he has mastered the “I’m adorable” look that has earned him many Churus. Mack is such a good indoor boy that he has even perfected the art of sleeping through the night. And don't be fooled by his gruff, adorably grumpy-looking exterior -- Mack is a big, soft lovebug. He loves getting kisses on the top of his head and ending his day by resting his big sweet head on your chest, with nonstop purrs. He leans into head and neck scratches with his entire body. He’s even a lap cat. Mack has some scars from his past outdoor life. He is FIV+ and mostly toothless, but he’s in good health and great spirits! FIV+ cats can live long lives with regular preventative vet care, and we can confirm that toothless boys are the best boys (everyone knows that!)! It doesn’t stop Mack from chowing down on kibble either and crunchy treats at all. Mack is ready to leave suffering in the past and live his best life loving and being loved by his forever person.
